Whats New With Smart Trucking App

Mobile application-based ride sharing administrations, for example, Uber and Lyft have changed the urban taxi scene in a previous couple of years. Presently, accomplishing something like completely fill out trucks is bursting into flames.

No less than twelve companies are in the chase to create and advance shrewd trucking business apps that give an across the board answer for cargo shippers and bearers: quick, robotized stack coordinating in light of area and hardware; turn-by-turn course arranging and shipment following; calculation based moment estimating; and consistent evidence of conveyance, charging and installment. These applications are hoping to supplant divided and tedious inheritance procedures, for example, the incalculable hours' truckers regularly spend attempting to discover stacks by calling cargo dealers and checking load sheets.

Many brilliant trucking applications are being created by innovative companies that trust they can undermine the go-between expenses charged by conventional cargo representatives while offering more exhaustive arrangements. Therefore much like the taxi business, which is battling back against ride imparting to its own streamlined applications, (for example, Hailo and Arro), cargo representatives should grasp "Uberization" or hazard being uprooted.

Shrewd trucking applications are the most recent case of how computerized developments initially produced for buyers are hoping the crevice to offer transformative answers for business also. On the engine bearer side, the utilization of brilliant applications could offer advantages, for example, bring down working costs, higher incomes and better fuel productivity and resource usage. Most trucking companies are little (more than 90 percent of US trucking companies, for instance, work six or fewer units), and across the board, applications could make everything fair amongst mother and pops and bigger firms.

Self-Driving Trucks Could Rewrite The Rules For Transporting Freight

European Bus Upstarts Snatch 20% of Passengers from Rail

On the shipper side, bigger application based commercial centres ought to give little shippers more access to on-request limit, at value focuses that they can all the more effective control. Also, extensive shippers ought to be better ready to oversee "exemption cargo" that falls outside of their common contract understandings, for example, cargo surges before occasions.

Over the inventory network, Uberization guarantees to build permeability and straightforwardness for all partners by Uber For Moving. New load-coordinating applications will open the overabundance limit now covered up because of coordinations wasteful aspects and birthplace/goal irregular characteristics and could help balance the developing lack of a huge number of truck drivers in the United States and Europe.

What You Need To Know About Switchgear

What You Need To Know About Switchgear

There are two systems or panels that are used to redistribute power or electric current to other equipment or circuits. One is the switchboard and the other is switchgear.

Electric switchboards are a device that directs the electricity from one source to another. It is composed of an assembly of panels. Each panel contains switches to allow electricity to be redirected.

With a switchboard, a technician is protected from possible electrocution. The switches in the board control the amount of current that goes into the switchboard. Such switches are fed from a generator which has AC frequency and load sharing controls. It also has gauges that show the frequency and synchroscope.

It is important that the amount of electric power that goes into the switchboard is equal to the electric power going. When you take a look inside the switchboard, you will see a bank of busbars.

The busbars, which are generally bare and supported by insulators, are wide strips of copper that connect to switchgear. The busbars act to allow passage of large electric current through the switchboard.

Before the switchboard is opened for maintenance, it is important to isolate the power because the busbars are bare. These active busbars are a deadly source of power. When working on live switchboards, precautionary measures are crucial. Be ready with your protective equipment such as thick rubber mats and gloves, when working with an open switchboard.

Switchboards are isolated and protected with other equipment including substations, motors, high or medium voltage distribution networks and transformers.

Switchgear are also essential a type of electrical distribution device that is used to convert incoming electrical power into several smaller voltages. Switchgear can also be used as a circuit breaker.

There are many different types of circuit breaker switchgear. Vacuum circuit switchgear have minimal arcing. The arc quenches when it is stretched to less the 2 to 3 mm. They're frequently used in modern medium-voltage switchgear of up to 35,000 volts.

If you need to de-energizing equipment, you can use switchgear. It also clears faults downstream and comes in varied parameters, which include number of panels, electrical specifications and mounting style.

The common types of switchgear are vacuum circuit breakers, oil insulated switchgear, gas insulated switchgear, and a simple open air circuit breaker. Oil insulated switchgear depend on an oil vaporization blast through its arc.

The gas insulated switchgear stretches the arc with a magnetic field and also depends on the dielectric strength of the gas to quench the stretched arc. The open air switchgear circuit breakers use compressed air to blow out the arc. The displaced air that tries to escape thus blows out the arc.

Circuit breakers are a unique type of switchboards that interrupts fault currents. Their design is especially made for interruption of fault currents.

The Classifications of switchboards are based on the current rating, the amount of interrupting rating, by voltage class, insulating medium, construction types, operating method, type of current, interrupting type, and application.

What you need to know about aggregate supplies

A mixture of granular materials is an admixture of macroscopic particles that is easily recognisable under the name aggregate. It is known that the aggregate is the most important component of concrete and mixed with Portland cement and water, the aggregate mixture becomes concrete. This mixture can contain aggregates such as granite dust, single sized granite, sharp washed sand, conditioned PFA, slag, gravel, limestone, and finally, granite. More than half of the volume of concrete consists of aggregate because this mixture forms a durable portion of the final product. At the same time, aggregate is the fundamental part of concrete and without it, the final concrete product cannot be produced. Even though aggregate is used mostly in construction, there is also another way which you can get a use out of it, namely decorative purposes. A few examples of how you can use aggregate for decorative purposes would be gardening and landscaping, but there are a lot of situations where aggregate can be useful. Moreover, if you want to build a house or you plan a building project for your business and you look for aggregate importers in Kent or aggregate supplies in Kent, then you need to continue reading in order to find out more about this subject. Depending on your type of construction project, you need to choose between different aggregate products such as gravel, granite, limestone, sharp washed sand, slag, conditioned PFA, single sized granite and last but certainly not least, granite dust. So if you want to know more about aggregate importers in Kent or aggregate supplies in Kent, just keep on reading.
Limestone and granite
Limestone and granite aggregates are crushed sedimentary rocks that are used mainly in road construction because they are a mixture of solids and fines. This mixture is perfect for flat surfaces, which is a very common type of aggregate that is mainly used for road surfaces and pathways.

Gravel
Gravel aggregates are crushed natural stone rocks that are inferior to granite aggregates but due to the fact that they have a low radioactive nature, gravel aggregates are very used in constructions. Moreover, granite aggregates are expensive in comparison with gravel aggregates, so if you want to build a small budget-friendly construction, then choose the cheaper option. Also, gravel aggregates divide into two types: scabbled stone and gravel. The first one means that the gravel aggregates are natural or crushed and the latter one consists of river and sea pebbles. Anyway, you should choose the type that you think works best for your construction.

Slag
Slag aggregates are made of molten slag and they are also used in the construction sector. They work great as a binding component because they stick the materials with different surfaces. Also, they are a budget-friendly option, so if you look for a great adhesive, then the slag aggregates are the way to go.

Sand
Sand aggregates are not only used for the construction of roads but they are also used to decorate playgrounds and paving paths.

What You Can Learn From Marketing Adult Ads

What You Can Learn From Marketing Adult Ads

What You Can Learn From Marketing Adult Ads

The adult entertainment is worth around $15 billion The exact number is unknown due to the fact that much of the industry remains under the covers.

It didnt get that way by sitting around allowing customers to find it. It worked its assets off. It stayed ahead of the industry, technology, market trends and consumer preferences. It was willing to go where others wouldnt go.

What can you learn from adult ads? Lets take a closer look.

1. Interact in Real Time

Many businesses treat social media ads and posts as a 1-way form of communication. But thats like taking the social out of social media.

Social media is a 2-way and sometimes a 3-way, 4-way or whichever way communication.

In order to participate, you need to be present. Interact with customers in real time.

In the adult industry, this often includes:

Live video feeds that allow real time messaging
Scheduling 1-1 phone calls with fans
Making ads interactive
Appearing at strip clubs
Sending adult ads based upon behavior not just demographics (remarketing)
Offering live behind the scenes footage with fans commenting and interacting
User-generated content.

2. Get an Intimate Understanding of Your Demographic

We know that were supposed to know our target audience and create content around them.

But adult ads show that they know their audience intimately. They think outside the box and really work to connect with people in a meaningful way no holds barred and everything out on display.

As businesses, were often scared to scratch the surface. We dont want to alienate some to connect with others.

But if you dont really understand who your target is and what motivates them, your ad campaigns and content are little more than a shot in the dark without the night vision goggles.

3. Dont Be a One Trick Pony

Ah, the adult industry! Theyre always diversifying and exploring new ways to make money.

Are your marketing strategies hyper focused on one product or element of your business? Maybe its time to branch out. Take a page from the book of adult ads.

An actress may start may start out doing a certain type of video. She continues to expand her repertoire. As she continues to get a name for herself, she begins expanding her brand into products, escorts, appearances, private Skype sessions, exclusive parties, etc.

She leverages her brand awareness to continue the expansion, strengthening her brand through consistency and knowing what her fans want.

4. Embrace Innovation

The adult industry remains on the cutting edge of technology.

When electronic payments first emerged, they were on it. When big data took over marketing, they were ready to go.

If we take a long trip back to the dawn of Internet marketing, they were among the first to use pop up ads.

Geo-location software? Therere so there.

And the list goes on. Through it, theyve flourished online and beyond.

Dont let your marketing campaign get stuck in a rut. Stay current on whats new and adapt.

Adult Ads Now and into the Future

What will they think of next? How will they continue to keep people coming back for more?We shall see. And you may want to steal a page from their playbook for your own marketing efforts.

What would you add to our list? Comment below.

What to Consider When Designing the Perfect Writing Room for A Home Office Addition

Is your online writing job growing by leaps and bounds?

You may have started working at the dining room table or in that little cove off the foyer. But with your workload increasing, these makeshift spaces arent allowing you to do your best work.

Youve probably considered the benefits of your own writing room, perhaps just to wave away the idea. It might just seem like too much work.

But its not!

Even if you dont have an available space in your dwelling, its not that difficult to add a home office addition to use for a new writing space.

And isnt your writing work worth it?

Having Your Own Writing Room Doesnt Have to Be A Pipe Dream

And adding an office addition for your writing room can be a great investment.

But before you launch into designing your ideal dream writing room, you need to consider a few things.

What will be your needs when it comes to the following:

Space

Whether youre envisioning a large and airy space or a small cozy office fit for a hobbit, youll need to take think about what sort of furniture, equipment, and storage youll need.

Lighting

If youre sitting at a computer all day, you want to consider the right kind of lighting. You may also want your plan to include some natural lighting. It will be less strain on your eyes.

Your contractor can recommend window options or skylight possibilities when creating your design plan.

Technology

Be sure you know that the space will be able to receive wireless connections clearly. And plan for the possibility of adding new electrical circuits.

Talk to a professional about installing additional lines and any other electrical needs.

Privacy

As a writer, you know that privacy is crucial.

Work with the contractor to ensure that your room will be away from the noise and action of your home. Avoid major traffic zones.

So youve worked things through with a professional such as you might find at this company. And youve taken all of the above factors into consideration.

Now its time to make it into a writing room.

This Is Where the Real Work Begins

Here are five suggestions to take that new room addition and make it into something thats truly yours.

1. Invest in Yourself

Youve invested in the room. So what do you need to invest in now to be a productive writer?

It could be something as simple as new notepads and good pens, to a new laptop and headphones.

You dont have to go way overboard on expenses, but you can splurge a little on nicer office essentials such as metal paper and mail holders versus plastic ones.

After all, aesthetics can go a long way toward making your more productive and your space comfortable.

And speaking of comfortable, find the ideal office chair. Youll be spending a lot of time in it so you want it will be comfortable, but supportive too.

You dont have to spend a fortune. Check stores like IKEA or high-end resale shops. And remember, you can write off all of these investments at tax time.

2. Claim It As Your Own

You went through all of the design preparation to get the perfect writing room. But some other members of the household might have their sights set on it too.

Make it yours.

Sure, you can still use the space as a guest room for out-of-town visitors, even if the inflatable mattress is next to your desk. They wont mind. Especially if theyre saving on hotel fares.

And of course, the other members in the household will not be prohibited from entering it. But its important you set up writing hours so they know when your writing room is off limits.

For instance, maybe every weekday from 9-12 and 1-4 are your designated hours to write uninterrupted. Those would be the hours with the most natural daylight. But you might need a different schedule.

Also, be open to the possibility that you wont always want to stick to those hours, or that maybe someone else in the family might need it occasionally during that time.

This is where flexibility is important.

3. Make the Great Escape

Yeah, youve jumped through all of the hoops to get this great new writing room. And its everything you want. But that doesnt mean youre going to always want to only work in there.

Give yourself permission to stray from the space as needed. Sometimes a change of scenery can do wonders for your writing.

You might experiment with coffee shops, the front porch or the even return to the kitchen table! Certain environments are better for different types of writing.

So while your writing space will be the space where you do a lot of your writing, give yourself the freedom to explore others spaces when it seems right.

Your perfect writing room will always be right there waiting for you.

4. Seek Support from Your Family Members

Once you have a designated writing space, it can be a bit of an adjustment for those with whom you share your household.

Having their support is key.

Although your writing room is ideally out of the traffic zone of your house, there will still be times when other members in the house will forget that youre working. Or that you need to work.

If youre able, try to work out agreements with other family members so that conflicts dont arise. Organize hours for housework and childcare, if needed, so that no one person is getting the load of the work.

You can always get additional support from friends and family who want to see you succeed as a writer.

With your new writing room, success is just a matter of time. As long as you follow this final step:

5. Continue Writing

Yes, a writing room can help propel you to success but only if youre still putting in the work.

Dont forget that you put on this home office addition to further your writing business. As compelling as designing and redesigning your writing space might be, you need to keep your focus on your writing!

Keep Up the Good Work

Your writing has brought you to this place where youre strongly considering your own writing space.

Isnt it time? Youve earned it!

Get out there and find that perfect contractor to make your dream a reality.

And congratulations on the great work. We wish you the best in your continued success.

What to Consider When Choosing an eLearning Template

What to Consider When Choosing an eLearning Template

What to Consider When Choosing an eLearning Template

As technology and automation only continue to grow and improve, so does online learning. More and more colleges and universities are offering online courses. In fact, eLearning is anticipated to be a $37.6 billion market by 2020.

If you want to create an engaging eLearning course, one of the most important components, apart from the content itself, of course, should be the eLearning template you use.

Below, well discuss a few specific things to bear in mind when choosing the best eLearning template for your course.

Let the Course Objectives Be Your Guide

What are the objectives and desired outcomes of your course? These should dictate the overall style of your theme including fonts, color schemes, and any imagery used throughout the course. An ugly or uninteresting eLearning template wont project a professional image.

Audience is Key

Ask: Who is your primary audience? Who was the course designed for? The template should reflect their specific needs. For example, if the course was designed for medical students, the template should be unique to them.

Brand Your eLearning Template!

Another important consideration when choosing your template is branding and customizability. Your eLearning course or program should be branded in such a way that it stands out and differentiates you from competitors. The templates and media offered through Torch Learning Management System could be a good place to start.

Additionally, the branding should also be in line with any guidelines you may have. Is there a specific set of previously approved colors you will be expected to use? Perhaps a specific font is preferred? Be sure to find this information out and adhere to all guidelines when customizing your template.

The Importance of Navigation

Having the ability to easily navigate an online course should be of utmost importance to creators. If its not user-friendly, it wont be used! Ensure that students can easily navigate to the courses landing page and access all of the necessary content.

Devices Matter

It should go without saying that participants in your course should be able to view and navigate throughout all of the pages on any of their devices. This includes iPads/tablets, smartphones, laptops, and desktop computers. One of the major advantages of eLearning is the ability to access content from anywhere, at any time.

If your course is not designed with this in mind, you run the risk of not only alienating (and potentially even irritating) current participants you could lose out on future business as well.

Marketing Matters Too!

As with every business, marketing is crucial to the success of your eLearning course or program. Frankly, if no one knows that it exists, whats the point? In order to be able to provide knowledge as you have set out to, the general public must first know that your eLearning course exists and is available!

If you need assistance marketing your business online, head over to our blog for some useful tips!

We know that with these helpful considerations and tips, youll find the perfect eLearning template for your course or program. Happy hunting!

What Is The History Of Swing Sets

What Is The History Of Swing Sets

What Is The History Of Swing Sets

Swings have been enjoyed by children all over the world for generations. The modern swing sets we see in back yards today are the result of many innovations that began at the turn of the century. These swing sets have evolved and now are available in different sizes, shapes, and cool designs. Kids today love these modern swings sets. The history of swing sets is an interesting story.

The first basic swing sets were handmade and were built by families growing up on the prairies. Children would play on these swing sets after the work day was over and parents would relax and enjoy watching their children play. The design of these swings sets were basically a piece of wood and rope tied to a tree branch.

In the US, in the late 1800s, child labor laws were enacted that included the minimum age that people were permitted to work. No longer working, children had time on their hands but no place to play in the highly populated urban areas. The result was a movement by women and other associations to set up playgrounds where children could play. Local governments became involved and in 1898, the Outdoor Recreation League started to give out seesaws and slides in newly constructed New York playgrounds. The National Playground Association was founded in 1906.

In 1912, the University of Virginia sponsored a teachers' program that resulted in the first complete playground and swingset package. The University of Virginia made the designs public for other schools to build their own swingset/playground. By the late 1940s, companies were mass producing wooden swingsets for the home. Backyard swingsets hit the market and were quickly purchased. Swingsets as well as jungle gyms, seesaws, and slides became the standard at schools and in home backyards. Also, there was a post-war boom in playground construction, which included swing sets, to meet the demands of baby boomers.

In 1945, commercially available residential cedar swing sets were developed by a New England company called ChildLife. In the 1960s, designers developed innovative play structures based upon child psychology concepts which promoted social interaction and decision-making. Individual units included various integrated play structures. The concept was called "Adventure Playgrounds."

With the emergence of titanium and aluminum, metal swings became fairly prominent in parks and playgrounds. These swing sets were very strong and durable. In the 70s, there was an increase in playground injuries due to the steel used in the structures. In 1975, two parents began the company, 'Woodplay Playsets' in Raleigh, North Carolina. Because of the high number of injuries resulting from steel playsets, in the 1980s, the Federal Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published standards that would have a great impact on swing set design. The new regulations included proposals for removing hard equipment such as metals bars and replace with 'soft' replacements such as plastic and wood. As a result, wooden swing sets with colored plastic parts began to replace solid iron bars in home backyards. In 1991 the CPSC implemented more guidelines regarding the installation of softer safer surfacing.

The swing sets we see today are safe, fun, and unique with innovative designs. The swing set is an ancient concept that has evolved to be permanent cultural icon and will be enjoyed by children for generations to come.

What Is The Difference Between Porcelain And Ceramic Figurines Which Is Better

What Is The Difference Between Porcelain And Ceramic Figurines Which Is Better

Image source: https://gradiomex.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/what-is-the-difference-between-porcelain-and-ceramic-porcelain-tile-vs-ceramic-tile-in-a-bathroom-what-is-the-white-difference-between-tr.jpg

What Is The Difference Between Porcelain And Ceramic Figurines Which Is Better

To understand the differences between ceramic and porcelain all you need is the definition of each. Whereas ceramic is a general term that also includes porcelain, porcelain is a ceramic product that is made a bit differently than other ceramic products. The category of ceramics includes porcelain but also clay, bone and other forms of pottery.

What further differentiates the two is their composition. Porcelain is seen as a more refined form of ceramics and it is composed of white clay and petuntse, which is a type of feldspar, found only in China. The products are heated to a higher degree than regular ceramic dishes or pottery. By heating these to over 2600 degrees the clay takes on a glasslike quality.

Most collectors can tell just by sight and feel which is which. The ceramics usually has a bit more in the weight department than does the porcelain. Ceramic figurines are also known for their grainy textures. One sure-fire way to tell which is which is by sounding. This is the process where you tap on the object and listen for the pitch of the sound. The porcelains have a higher pitch.

The Chinese perfected the making of porcelain in particular what is referred to, as fine "China" century's ago. It took Europe about another 800 years to make their first firing of anything comparable to what was coming out of China. Figurines and dishes from the early periods of China's porcelain history usually command a hefty price. As to which is better it all depends in large part on the consumer and the purpose of the piece. There are collections of both that are very expensive. If you want to start your own collection read to get ideas on how to tell the difference yourself.

1. If when held up to a light source you can see the shadow of the object placed behind the figurine then it is porcelain. Porcelain has a translucent quality that other forms of ceramics lack.

2. Is the figurine's surface smooth or grainy. If it is grainy it is not porcelain. Porcelain feels more like a glass surface, an egg at worst.

Whether its a porcelain figurine or a ceramic figurine, you will enjoy it if it is made with care and quality. Ultimately, like anything else, it comes down to what makes you the most happy to look at and cherish.

3. Is the figurine of a delicate nature? One of the finest properties of porcelain is it fragile nature. Other forms of ceramic are a lot tougher and thicker.

4. Notice the gloss or sheen on the object. Porcelain is a glossier surface. It looks like it has been polished.

Beautiful figurines are a great addition to your home, regardless of what they are made of. Still, as human beings, we are all picky and have our own tastes. Next time you go figurine shopping, just keep these pointers in mind and they will most certainly help you make the best selection for your tastes.

What Is The Best And Efficient Way To Cure PC Errors

What Is The Best And Efficient Way To Cure PC Errors

What Is The Best And Efficient Way To Cure PC Errors

We all dread the day that we start our personal computers only to have them freeze, run super-slow or even not boot at all. Unless you are confident about fixing or reinstalling your operating system, the thought of having to deal with PC errors will fill you with apprehension.

What causes PC errors and slow running speed?
One of the most basic causes of slow-running PCs is the fact that we tend to ask too much of them. The memory on a personal computer is a finite, limited thing, and only so much data can fit into it. In the old days, it was easy to blame memory for PC errors as it was extremely limited. We accepted that we needed to end one program before we loaded a new one.

These days we expect to be able to have more than one application open at the same time, and actively switch between them as we work. We also expect every computer to load a large number of programs at startup and simply cope with the workload! The reality is that we overwhelm the CPU capability and the memory, and in so doing, we cause problems for ourselves.

Inevitably, multitasking on such a grand scale slows the most powerful machine, causing clashes in the cache resulting in corrupt items which we then see as PC errors. As well as expecting our PCs to cope with loading many programs at the same time at startup, we are also inclined these days to install and uninstall software on a whim.

Games are particular examples of this tendency. We install a game, play it for two minutes, then either (in the case of children and young adults who don't know any better) delete the files or uninstall them and move on to the next game we find for downloading.

Doing this often leaves part-uninstalled programs lying about on your system which effectively clogs up the registry with entries for redundant and obsolete files and settings. This certainly will affect the speed of your PC, both at startup time and during normal running time.

Maintaining your registry will remove all those errors and unwanted keys and references, and your PC will be able to work more efficiently and healthily. You will notice less errors, and the speed will be noticeably faster.

Most of the computer users today have no idea of what their registry actually is, and they do not have any idea about how to solve a registry issue. We all had faced problems related to slow pc and slow startup etc. with our PC at some point of time during computing. You also may have seen a different homepage when we haven't made any changes, the PC freezing screen or complete computer crashes - these all form part of the problems faced by today's PC user when there are issues with the registry system of your Windows Operating System. If you are having Windows operating system like- XP. Vista Or Windows 7installed, then you have a Windows registry. And You can opt for a good registry cleaner for the solution of your Pc Registry. What is Remediation

The word remediation is very important in the work my colleagues and I do with families affected by autism and other neuro-developmental disabilities, but it is a word that is unfamiliar to many people. I thought I would take a moment this week to talk about what remediation means in general, and specifically in the realm of autism.
Lets start with some basic dictionary definitions:
Remediate (verb) - To remedy a problem
Remedial (adjective) - Intended to correct or improve ones skill in a specific field; therapeutic, corrective, restorative
Remediation (noun) - Use of remedial methods to improve skills; the act or process of correcting a deficiency

Dr. Steven Gutsteins definition of remediation: Correcting a deficit to the point where it no longer constitutes and obstacle

My definition: Work ON something, not just around it

Whether you are a parent or professional, it is critical to understand what remediation is, and the distinction between remediation and compensation. Perhaps the most common application of this distinction is in the area of reading problems. If a child is diagnosed with a reading disability, we typically apply remediation approaches to help them learn to read. At various points we may use compensations, such as books on tape, to support them. However, our goal is to remediate, or correct, the problem that is preventing them from reading so they can become functional readers. In my professional experience, I have yet to come across a situation where adults believe that if an 8 year old child is not yet reading, that we should just compensate for that and give them books on tape to listen to for the rest of their lives. Remedial efforts are taken to get to the root of the problem and overcome the issues that are preventing successful reading.

Now take this same concept and apply it to individuals on the autism spectrum. By definition they are struggling in many areas: socialization, communication, thinking flexibly, and the list goes on depending on the person. What approach do we usually take to these deficits? By and large, we take a compensation approach. We find ways to work around these problems so that the students fit into the mold of what we do at home and in school everyday. Our main motivation becomes applying strategies that help them exhibit what we consider to be typical behaviors sit appropriately in the classroom or at church, learn academic skills, play on the playground equipment, wait in line without becoming upset, greet others when we see them, etc. While we may also look for ways to support their communication and to improve their relationships with others, we do this on a very surface level without really understanding the obstacles that create those problems in the first place. And, because we dont really understand the root issues that create these problems, we resort to compensation techniques rather than remediating the root causes.

When you look at the history of treatments in the field of autism, it has been primarily about compensation. While research on the brain and autism has continued to move forward and provide us new information, our treatment approaches have stagnated. The methods we were using 30 years ago are still the methods being used today, despite the fact that we have a whole host of new information available to us. We now have the capacity to take what we know about the disorder of autism and how it impacts brain function, and develop new techniques and approaches that move beyond compensation and actually work to remediate (correct) the primary features of the disorder. This is one of the exciting things about newer approaches such as the Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) Program, which focuses on remediating, rather than just working around, the core deficits we see in individuals with autism and other neuro-developmental disorders.

It is time to move beyond thinking about treatment as merely capitalizing on strengths, and begin thinking about how to strengthen areas of weakness. Research has shown us that autism is primarily a disorder of connectivity in the brainwith some portions over connected and others under connected. What is so exciting about this is that we know that neural connectivity can change throughout the lifespan. The human brain has an enormous capacity for developing new connections and changing the patterns of connectivity when given the right types of stimulation. This is what allows us to look at autism treatment in a new light. It cannot be merely about strengthening the areas that are already strong. Effective education and treatment must be focused on building new connections in the areas where connectivity is deficient. This is the essence of remediation.

What is Organizational Innovation

Defining Innovation
Organizational innovation refers to new ways work can be organized, and accomplished within an organization to encourage and promote competitive advantage. It encompasses how organizations, and individuals specifically, manage work processes in such areas as customer relationships, employee performance and retention, and knowledge management.

At the core of organizational innovation is the need to improve or change a product, process or service. All innovation revolves around change V but not all change is innovative. Organizational innovation encourages individuals to think independently and creatively in applying personal knowledge to organizational challenges. Therefore, organizational innovation requires a culture of innovation that supports new ideas, processes and generally new ways of doing business.

The Benefit of an Innovative Organization
In promoting a culture of innovation, organizations should foster:
Cross functional team building while discouraging silo building
Independent, creative thinking to see things from a new perspective and putting oneself outside of the parameters of a job function
Risk taking by employees while lessening the status quo

The value and importance of knowledge and learning within organizational innovation is crucial. If innovation is about change, new ideas, and looking outside of oneself to understand ones environment, then continuous learning is a requirement of organizational innovation success.

The value of learning and knowledge can only be realized once put into practice. If new organizational knowledge doesnt result in change, either in processes, business outcomes, or increased customers or revenues, then its value hasnt been translated into success.

The road to organizational innovation lies in the ability to impart new knowledge to company employees and in the application of that knowledge. Knowledge should be used for new ways of thinking, and as a stepping stone to creativity and toward change and innovation.

Steps to Innovation
To determine how supportive your current environment is in fostering innovation, read the frequently asked questions and answers below, about how to build an organizational culture that encourages innovation.

1) Is a climate of innovation supported by senior management?
a. That means, that such activities as risk taking and small ad hoc work groups that brainstorm and talk through ideas need to be promoted, supported and encouraged in the organization.
2) Do managers routinely identify and bring together those individuals more oriented toward innovation, those willing to think new ideas and act on them?
a. Identifying new thinkers and individuals oriented toward change helps to ensure an outlet for innovation by supporting these individuals and giving them and like-minded colleagues the time and opportunity to think creatively. This is tantamount to becoming an innovative organization.
3) Is there a process in place monitoring innovation teams and identifying what has and hasnt worked as a result of them?
a. Maintaining and monitoring innovation is important. This requires checks and balances that identifies how innovation is developed and managed and processes that capture what did or didnt work. In order to be able to continue to innovate in a changing environment, continually monitoring the internal and external environment to determine what supports or hinders innovation is key.
4) How can an organization be strategic and focused on it goals yet build and develop an innovative culture?
a. The value of a strategic focus remains important to a companys success. In fact, clear direction and understanding of a companys mission can help fuel innovation V by knowing where in the organization innovation and creativity would provide the most value. An innovative organizational culture creates a balance between strategic focus, and the value of new ideas and processes in reaching them.
5) Is there a single most important variable or ingredient that fuels an organization toward an innovative culture?
a. Similar to other successes of an organization, what drives innovation are the people of the organization. First, management must set the expectation of innovation and creativity and then doing business is about how to improve processes, products and customer relationships on a day-to-day basis. This mindset itself will create an ongoing culture of innovation.

What is Block Chain Technology

Block chain is a new and trending word in the field of information technology. A blockchain, originally block chain, is a continuously growing list of records, called blocks, which are linked and secured using cryptography. Each block primarily contains a hash pointer as a link to a previous block, a timestamp and transaction data. By design, blockchains are inherently resistant to modification of the data.
A blockchain is a decentralized and distributed digital ledger that is used to record transactions across many computers so that the record cannot be altered retroactively without the alteration of all subsequent blocks and the collusion of the network. This allows the participants to verify and audit transactions inexpensively. Blockchains have been described as a value-exchange protocol. This blockchain-based exchange of value can be completed more quickly, more safely and more cheaply than with traditional systems.

A blockchain database consists of two kinds of records: transactions and blocks. Blocks hold batches of valid transactions that are hashed and encoded into a Merkle tree. Each block contains the hash of the prior block in the blockchain, linking the two. The linked blocks form a chain. This iterative process confirms the integrity of the previous block, all the way back to the original genesis block. Some blockchains create a new block as frequently as every five seconds.

Blockchain technology is like the internet in that it has a built-in robustness. By storing blocks of information that are identical across its network, the blockchain cannot:

1.Be controlled by any single entity.
2.Has no single point of failure.

With a blockchain, many people can write entries into a record of information, and a community of users can control how the record of information is amended and updated.
Yet, blockchain technology, for all its merits, is not a new technology.

Rather, it is a combination of proven technologies applied in a new way. It was the particular composition of three technologies (the Internet, private key cryptography and a protocol governing incentivization) that made bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto's idea so useful.

1- Private key Cryptography
2- P2P Network
3- Program ( the blockchains protocol)

The result is a system for digital interactions that does not need a trusted third party. The work of securing digital relationships is understood supplied by the elegant, simple, yet robust network architecture of blockchain technology itself.

Blockchain technology has a large potential to transform business operating models in the long term. Blockchain distributed ledger technology is likewise a foundational technologywith the potential to create new foundations for global economic and social systemsthan a disruptive technology, which typically "attack a traditional business model with a lower-cost solution and overtake incumbent firms quickly".

By enabling digital information to be distributed but not imitated, blockchain technology created the backbone of a new type of internet. Originally devised for the digital currency, Bit coin, the tech community is now finding other potential uses for the technology.

What is Ascites

What is Ascites

What is Ascites

Ascites is the presence of excess fluid in the peritoneal cavity. It is a common clinical finding with a wide range of causes, but develops most frequently as a part of the decompensation of previously asymptomatic chronic liver disease. The symptoms of ascites vary from patient to patient and depend largely on the quantity of fluid. If trace ascites is present, the patient may be asymptomatic, and fluid is detected only on physical or radiologic examination. If a large amount of fluid is present, the patient may complain of abdominal fullness, early satiety, abdominal pain, or shortness of breath.

Ascites is detected on physical examination of the abdomen by visible bulging of the flanks in the reclining patient ("flank bulging"), "shifting dullness" (difference in percussion note in the flanks that shifts when the patient is turned on the side) or in massive ascites with a "fluid thrill" or "fluid wave" (tapping or pushing on one side will generate a wave-like effect through the fluid that can be felt in the opposite side of the abdomen).

Rapidly developing (acute) ascites can occur as a complication of trauma, perforated ulcer, appendicitis, or inflammation of the colon or other tube-shaped organ (diverticulitis). This condition can also develop when intestinal fluids, bile, pancreatic juices, or bacteria invade or inflame the smooth, transparent membrane that lines the inside of the abdomen (peritoneum). However, ascites is more often associated with liver disease and other long-lasting (chronic) conditions.

Ascitic fluid is derived from the vascular compartment subserving the hepatosplanchnic viscera. Two factors are important in the formation of ascites: an increased total body sodium and water, and increased sinusoidal portal pressure. In cirrhosis, hepatic dysfunction and sinusoidal portal pressure probably both send a message to the kidney to retain excess sodium and fluid, while the portal hypertension serves to localize excess fluid to the peritoneal cavity rather than the periphery.

The ascitic tube (drain) is usually inserted by a doctor and the procedure can be done at the bedside in the ward or in the outpatients clinic. Sometimes the drain may be inserted in the ultrasound department whilst scanning the abdomen. This helps the doctor find exactly where to put the drain, especially if the fluid appears to be in small pockets and cannot be drained all at once. You will be asked to lie on the bed while the skin in the area where the drain is to be inserted is cleaned with an antiseptic solution, which prevents it from becoming infected.

Many patients remain asymptomatic until decompensation occurs. Lack of symptoms and minor liver enzyme elevations are typical of HCV infection and cannot be taken as evidence of lack of progression. HCV RNA testing confirms the diagnosis. Liver biopsy helps assess disease activity and stage the severity of fibrosis and is recommended for most patients with hepatitis C. Once this information is obtained, a rational program for treatment and monitoring can be planned.

Nonspecific abdominal discomfort and dyspnea may occur with massive ascites, but lesser amounts are usually asymptomatic. The diagnosis is made clinically by detecting shifting dullness on abdominal percussion, though US or CT scan can detect much smaller amounts of fluid. In advanced cases the belly is taut, the umbilicus is flat or everted, and a fluid wave can be elicited. Differentiation from obesity, gaseous distention, pregnancy, or ovarian tumors and other intra-abdominal masses usually is easily made by clinical examination, but scanning techniques or diagnostic paracentesis may occasionally be required.

What Is a Heat Press Machine

What Is a Heat Press Machine

Image source: http://www.yeskey.com/uploadfile/y5/ywsuper1985/product/heat-transfer-machines-t-shirt-press-machine/T-Shirt-heatPress-machine(38cm*38cm)-1308621048-0.jpg

What Is a Heat Press Machine

These days more and more people know about the humble heat press. It used to have a much more industrial function but these days of screen printing stores on the high street and countless t-shirt and accessory entrepreneurs selling their wares online the heat press is becoming a regular household item.

What a heat press essentially allows you to do is apply both heat and pressure to a material, such as a t-shirt, and in doing so transfer a design to that t-shirt.

A heat press is different from other popular forms of printing such as silk screen printing which use mesh to transfer ink to the material and direct to garment printing which uses ink jet technology to print onto products.

A heat press is a heavy item and although it is small enough to fit into a home office it will be difficult to move from room to room or transport if you move.

Once it has outlived its usefulness a heat press can be difficult to dispose of. Unless you know someone who wants to take it off your hands for parts or repair you may have to pay to dispose of it.

Once turned on and heated up your press is ready to use. Typically you will place a t-shirt on the bottom plate and a transfer or graphic on the top.

Depending on the graphics you wish to transfer you may have to use transfer paper to shield against burns and make the design go on more smoothly.

With the material and design in place you simply close the upper plate down, fix it in place and wait until the design has been printed. This is usually indicated by a beep from the machine.

The combination of heat and pressure, when the press is clamped shut, is what makes for a high quality and durable transfer.

Heat presses come in different designs and so need slightly different techniques.

Both manual and automatic heat presses are very common. Semi-automatic heat presses are available as well but much less common.

Digital technology is becoming more common in newer heat presses and this allows more precise control of heat, pressure and timing.

The most common type of heat presses currently on the market are ones with an aluminum element with a heat rod or heating wire attached to the element.

If the heat press is intended for mass production where items are being printed or created at a steady pace there are heat presses with additional features. One option is a lower plate which can be pulled away from the hot press.

A common use of a heat press is in tandem with a vinyl cutter. The vinyl cutter can be used to trace a design on a sheet of vinyl, the excess vinyl is then peeled off leaving the shape of the design.

Ink jet transfer paper can also be used in the heat press. These designs will fuse nicely to the shirt and in most cases be reliable through some medium level wear and careful washing.

Immediately after the printing the design is sometimes a little vulnerable and should be allowed to cool.

A heat press is affordable for most individuals and businesses. Of course the question of budget is specific to the situation and the quality of press south.

In these general terms however a silk screen is a cheaper but less desirable method. A screen has to be set up for each design and runs of shirts made for each set up can be as low as five.

This is why a silk screen is often found in smaller artistic stores where only a few shirts are on a rail at any one time.

A direct to garment printer is considered better in terms of flexibility in what you can print and what you can print on but the price is significantly higher than a heat press.

In short, most people do not find it too much of a stretch to purchase a heat press rather than a silk screen printer but may not be able to afford a direct to garment printer.

A heat press can be bought for a few hundred dollars more than a screen printer. They are easy to use and not very messy. There is a definite need to be careful if you are operating a heat press.

The plates become hot to the touch, papers can be blown onto the plates if a window is left open and if you are operating a press on a hot day it can be uncomfortable or even dangerous.

All these factors are manageable to anyone with common sense and a sense of responsibility. There is nothing about using a heat press that requires specialist qualifications, it can even be learned from watching an online video tutorial.

A major reason why people get themselves a heat press, possibly with a vinyl cutter, is to produce items at home and sell them as a business venture.

Being able to make and send out items rather than use third party websites increases the profit margin as long as sufficient marketing is in place.

What Does it Mean to be Spiritual

What Does it Mean to be Spiritual

What Does it Mean to be Spiritual

You go to church every Sunday and you say your prayers every day. Does this mean you are a spiritual person?
No.

You practice yoga and meditate every day. Does this mean you are a spiritual person?

No.

You belong to spiritual group and are devoted to following the teachings of the group. Does this mean you are a spiritual person?

No.

What, then, does it mean to be a spiritual person?

Being a spiritual person is synonymous with being a person whose highest priority is to be loving to oneself and others. A spiritual person cares about people, animals, and the planet. A spiritual person knows that we are all one, and consciously attempts to honor this oneness. A spiritual person is a kind person.

So, you can go to church every Sunday and say your prayers every day, without caring about loving yourself, others and the planet. You can practice yoga and meditate every day without being conscious of what is loving and what is not loving in your thoughts and actions. You can belong to a spiritual group and devotedly follow the teachings, yet still be judgmental toward yourself and others in your daily life.

There are many people who do not practice a religion, who do not meditate, pray or belong to any group, who are very spiritual people. These people naturally do caring things for others. They think about how they can help. Their thoughts are kind rather than judgmental toward themselves and toward others. When you look at them, you see their kindness in their eyes.

There are many religious people who are anything but kind. We all know of religious people who are extremely judgmental, righteous, and outright mean. Can you be both religious and spiritual? Of course! But only when you are operating in your religion from your heart rather than from the learned dogma of your mind.

Years ago I very briefly attended a "spiritual" group. People would meet in an auditorium to hear the leader of the group speak. The second time I attended I heard a number of parents yelling at their children and judging them to try to control them. These parents were being anything but kind with their children. That was the last time I attended the spiritual group. The focus of the group was surrender to God, but love was rarely in the picture! They obviously had a very different experience of God than I did.

My experience of God is that God is the energy of Love that created us and sustains us. In my experience, God is Spirit" (John 4:24) and God is love" (1 John 4:16). Anything that is not of love, peace, joy, truth and kindness is not of God. Praying to God does not mean that you are allowing the spirit that is God - the love, peace, joy, truth and kindness that is God - to guide your thoughts and actions. Practicing yoga or meditating does not mean that you have invited the love that is God into your heart, or that you are turning to that ever-present love to learn about what is in your highest good, and the highest good of others and the planet.

If you want to be a spiritual person, then let kindness be your guiding light - kindness toward yourself, toward others, toward animals, and toward this beautiful planet that is our home. Recognize that we all have the spark of love that is God within us, and learn to honor that love so that you can know and experience the Oneness of all that is.

What are the Advanced Technologies used for Neurological Care

Neurology treatment demands high precision, dedication and experience. Nowadays, advanced technology, sophisticated systems and cutting-edge surgical practices allow neurologists to provide proper neurological care.

Individuals with health problems related to brain, spine or nervous system can benefit from comprehensive treatment at reputed neurology center. The neurology services provided would vary depending on the type of disorder. Commonly occurring neurological disorders include mobility issues, epilepsy, Parkinsons disease, strokes, headaches, sleep disorder, ataxia, multiple sclerosis, ischemic neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, myositis, and more. Many advanced technologies are used for neurological care, allowing medical specialist to provide a superior patient outcome.

Advanced Technologies Used For Neurological Care

A team of physicians specializing in neurology, radiology, physical therapy, chiropractic and occupational therapies are the team involved in neurology care. The cutting-edge technologies used help them with proper diagnosis and may include:

High speed CT imaging Computerized imaging techniques are used to scan the body from various angles. A three dimensional image also supports an easy assessment. More images can be taken in less time with high resolution. This technology is used for scanning brain images to make a diagnosis of brain injury, bleeding and skull fractures.
Magnetic resonance imaging MRI is an advanced imaging technology to create images of brain, spine and even the whole body. Images are captured using magnetic field, radiofrequency pulses and computer. Open MRI or 3D cross-sectional imaging technology offers multiple sets of cross-section images in 3D. This helps detect several types of disorders, injuries and abnormalities of the scanned area. The underlying blood vessels, tissues and organs are clearly visible, helping to determine if an abnormal growth is benign or malignant.
Interventional angiography In this diagnostic X-ray technique, special dye is injected into the vein for spotting out blood vessels. Angiography facilitates to locate blockage or bleeding in brain.

Other than the above-mentioned devices, a neurology center also uses reliable diagnostic equipment such as EEG, EMG/NCV and electrocardiography for detecting neurology diseases. Various blood tests, lumbar puncture, muscle/nerve biopsy, cerebrospinal fluid sampling and trigger point injection may also be a part of the neurological services offered.

Search for Best Neurological Treatment

Patients requiring neurology care should locate an established neurology center near their area, equipped with sophisticated diagnostic equipment. Besides advanced technologies for neurological care physician experience in the field also counts in determining the quality neurology services and neurological rehabilitation. Every patient is provided with a customized treatment plan at these health centers. Besides expert neurologists, staff would include specialists in other fields such as physiotherapy and chiropractic, experienced technical staff and trained nurses who can provide quality treatment for quick recovery.

Web And Video Conferencing Who's Using This New Technology

In the mid 1990s a few individuals and companies, seeing the potential of the relatively unknown Internet, took advantage of this new medium and got a head start on everyone else. Similarly, today a few innovative companies have enthusiastically embraced web and video conferencing and are reporting great benefits from this under-used application.

Who is making use of web and video conferencing, and how are they using it? Here is a look at some of the enterprises and institutions that are being transformed by the intelligent use of this up-and-coming technology.

Ever conscious of rising costs, schools and universities are using web/video conferencing to conduct administrative meetings with staff and also for setting up online courses and tutoring for students. Web and video conferencing "made all the difference in turning a scheduling conflict into a magical lifetime memory for our student," says Jon Fredricks of Midland Lutheran College.

While clergy are not usually pictured as techno-geeks, churches and other religious institutions have been quick to see the advantages of video conferencing applications and now use it to enable shut-in members of their congregations "attend" worship services without leaving their homes.

Sales organizations are using video and/or web conferencing to conduct sales meetings as well as to meet and demonstrate their products with prospects. Taking this further, sales coaches and trainers have whole-heartedly embraced online conferencing as a way to develop new methods of training, and save money at the same time.

Video and web conferencing "enabled us to develop a powerful new consulting/training business model in which we blend live classroom training with a continuous program of interactive videoconference training events, accessible by participants from virtually any location" reports Tim McMahon of McMahon WorldWide Sales Performance.

"The ability to offer this kind of programming has become a significant source of competitive advantage for us in the sales training marketplace," added McMahon.

As might be expected, software and Internet companies who are already tech-savvy, have been quick to make use of online conferencing. They are using these applications to demonstrate their products and services to clients, and to provide a new, previously undreamed of level of support.

"The technology allows us to access dentists' workstations in two clicks.... It's like working without walls and dentists have really been blown away by the personal touch that's possible with this technology," reports Rich Hirschinger, of www.DDS.com, a supplier of software for dentists.

Similarly, avant-garde media companies are using the latest web/video conferencing applications to present videos and conduct business meetings bringing together their offices located many miles apart.

Large organizations with many branches such as securities companies and banks have also seen online conferencing as a way to hold staff meetings, meet with clients and conduct training sessions without having to pay high travel costs.

But it is not only large institutions that are using these applications, professionals such as psychiatrists, psychologists and insurance agents are using online video conferencing to have intimate, one-on-one meetings with their patients, clients and prospects.

These are just a few examples of how various companies and institutions are getting the benefits provided by web and video conferencing. This list is sure to grow in the years ahead.

Wave Introduces Two New Product Innovations That Will Revolutionize The Messaging Market

LOTUSPHERE, ORLANDO, FL. January 17, 2010 - Just in time for their five year anniversary this month, Wave launched the Smartphone app MyLink for Android devices and will be conquering the messaging migration market with the unique migration tool WaveBox.

MyLink enables the synchronization of Lotus Notes, Domino, MS Outlook POP3 and Exchange emails, calendars, contacts, tasks and notes with Google Android phones.

The product range includes MyLink Advanced, MyLink Desktop and MyLink Enterprise. The products are designed to suit users' individual needs. MyLink Advanced provides users with the possibility to directly synchronize their PIM data via USB, whereas MyLink Desktop & Enterprise support the OTA synchronization of all data (Client-based for Desktop, server-based for Enterprise). Wave implements a Point-to-Point Synchronization System that cuts out the need for a third party server completely without processing the data through Google or any other server portal.

Statistics show that employees are increasingly showing the desire to synchronize their private phones with their work data (Information taken from "The Device Dilemma", report by market research firm Vanson Bourne). This was long not possible due to security risks. Thanks to Push Mail, Point-to-Point Synchronization and Remote Wipe, MyLink makes it possible to provide employees with their work emails on the road and also via their private Android phones.

The implications for businesses are significant. There is no need for additional servers, as the software can be installed directly on the existing mail servers. The easy set-up, intuitive user interface and low maintenance result in a reduction of support queries. MyLink also means that companies won't have the need to provide their employees with the latest gadgets anymore, as users' own devices can be utilized without the fear of data breaches.
This essentially transforms the Android devices into smart, business friendly phones, bringing Google that one step closer into the corporate market.

The MyLink products are available for individual users on the Android Market and online at www.waveglobal.net. Corporations looking to license several users through a server platform can enquire directly via email to contact@waveglobal.net.

The clever innovation in WaveBox will change the way messaging migration is carried out. The tool is using Cluster Technology to migrate users from Microsoft Exchange to Lotus Notes and Domino. This enhances the data processing speed. Therefore, where a project previously was carried out within a six months time frame, the duration of the project is cut to a fragment of its previous processing period, meaning days, rather than months.

This new technology enables Wave to reduce time and man power spent on messaging migrations, and thus, allows significant price cuttings, bringing numerous advantages to corporations migrating servers. This innovation helps Wave to be more flexible in serving the requirements of their clients. Not only will the project be carried out faster, releasing company internal resources earlier, but also the rate of error will be reduced drastically and therefore increasing the efficiency throughout the project.

Corporations can now look forward to smooth running projects in the area of messaging collaborations, from consolidations to migrations without the worry of spending too much time and valuable resources.

Further information about the product can be found online at www.waveglobal.net. Consultations and quotes can be enquired via email to sales@waveglobal.net.

For their 5th anniversary, Wave is running a special anniversary promotion unique to Lotusphere, offering the first five companies free consultation on their messaging migration when deciding for WaveBox.

Using Emotions Tech from TrueTalk to Monitor Health and Wellbeing

Its stating the obvious but our bodies respond physically to how we think and feel. This is the final article in a series of 4 describing how emotions impact health and how we can use this fact to improve our wellbeing. The previous article is here.

Imagine being able to monitor and manage the physical and mental wellbeing of ourselves, loved ones and our community as a whole, all by evaluating emotions?

The reality of that isnt that farfetched at all. Ive developed TrueTalk, which combines voice, face and word recognition technology to evaluate emotions an example of so-called Emotions Technology.

My goal is to provide a complete solution to measure emotions that can be used alongside our favourite methods of communication social media, text messages, emails, phone calls, videos and images for good. Such technology can help to monitor and interpret everyday emotional wellbeing and also spot early signs of stress, enabling us all to act early on. Eventually, monitoring the mental wellbeing of elderly relatives by a simple telephone conversation or helping a friend to analyse their emotional issues will be commonplace.

In addition to providing a tool to help us all evaluate our emotions, TrueTalk aims to collate the emotional data of whole communities that can eventually be used by everyone as a reference to monitor physical health and emotional wellbeing over time. We also aim to build a community of wellbeing professionals, to pool their valuable experience. This wealth of information can then be shared by professionals and help them to work through common health issues and enhance their skills.

Emotions Tech isnt meant to be a cure for emotional distress. Instead its a tool with which to collect and analyse data that can be used to catch health and wellbeing issues early on. Early, simple interventions can work, and in most cases, they do. Talking therapy, journaling, socialising, feeling accepted, joining new social or sports clubs and finding different ways of dealing with certain stresses or situations can be all we need. Emotions Tech can help you shape these interventions then monitor their effectiveness over time.

How Does Emotions Tech Work?

Step One Personality and Emotional Evaluation

An understanding of your personality and major emotional traits is an important first step. This provides a baseline measurement of your emotions and how you interpret and react to them. This might sound pretty complex, but the difficult part has already been worked on by psychologists.

Psychologist-led personality tests, called The Big Five Personality Tests provide an accurate idea of our emotional tendencies and have been used on millions of subjects over many years.

If youre interested in pinpointing your own key emotional characteristics and how they manifest themselves in your habits and personality Enneagrams are as good a place to start as any.

Peter OHanrahan provides a deeper look at the classic emotional habits of each of the different personality types.

Once youve pinpointed your personality type, youll understand and recognise which emotions to watch out for.

But remember, these tests are just a starting point. Were all unique and have our own complexities, no test can ever pigeon hole us completely!

Step Two Taking Health Issues in Context

Taking individual health issues and concerns in context will help Emotions Tech understand and focus the analysis around a framework. To explain that further, heres some examples of the contexts I mean

Feeling down about life in general

Being constantly stressed

Feeling worn out and being susceptible to coughs, colds and other bugs all the time

Feeling worried about a specific loved one, for example an elderly relative

Feeling anxious that someone is keeping something from you

Being concerned about a loved ones mental wellbeing whos showing extremes of emotions

Feeling lonely

Feeling depressed

Harbouring feelings of resentment to the point that it makes you feel ill

Constantly feeling angry

Having anxiety plaguing you wherever you go and not knowing how to deal with it

At the moment, we can use Emotions Tech to gather useful information via phone calls, posts on social media, text messages and emails. In the future, we will be able to use it to assess our own risk, or spot vital early signs in others, of conditions such as heart disease, Alzheimers, Parkinsons, Huntingtons, autism, depression and anorexia nervosa.

Step Three Data Collection and Analysis

Currently, a few large companies are developing the technology to collect emotions data for global corporations and companies. However, there is no comprehensive one stop shop solution for collecting and analysing emotions data aimed at individuals for personal use. And thats why Ive developed TrueTalk, which combines voice, face and word analysis.

To demonstrate how it works, heres an example of an analysis of a social media post from a friend that you may be worried about.

You notice this post and TrueTalk ascertains their most likely emotion:

You may also see an image of them, that TrueTalk can also use to assess their likely mood:

TrueTalk can also assess the sentiment and emotion behind a voice recording. In other words, it can identify the difference between what has been said, and what it means.
TrueTalk can also obtain emotional data from the tiniest of features on a facial image, features far too small for the human eye to notice.

The next step is to put this wealth of data into context. And crucially, decide on a course of action. It could be that talking things through with your friend will help you notice a gradual improvement in their emotional wellbeing. In more serious situations, you should seek expert guidance. Help from a wide range of counsellors, psychologists, psychotherapists and clinical practitioners is always on hand.

Step Four Data Storage, Monitoring and Evaluation

All of the data you collect can be stored and monitored over time so that you can keep a record of what has worked, and what hasnt. You can also journal activities against results so that you can continually review, adapt and repeat actions. Youll also become better and better at interpretation of results. As TrueTalk technology develops, looking retrospectively over past data will also allow you to develop your skills in identifying emotional health issues.

Heres my tips, but your own pattern will develop:

Record everything by writing it down or making voice recordings. This makes assessment of emotions much simpler, and TrueTalk makes it simpler still. It will independently process voice, video and image data to give you a real time emotional analysis.

Use the data to discover things about yourself and your own emotions. Use it to practice self-awareness and to understand your own feelings what they are, why youre feeling them and how to respond to them. If you can do it for yourself, imagine what you can do for others.

Always seek help from an expert if youre in doubt of the severity of a situation.

Look closely at the link between words and actions. Do people react or respond to situations? If theyre reacting, make them step back, slow down and make a measured response instead. This puts them back in control and gives them time to reflect.

Learn from lessons and put these learnings into action and then start over again record, analyse, adapt, repeat.

Look back over results to compare how youve dealt with them.

Emotional Intelligence, Health and Wellbeing

A higher level of emotional intelligence is not only linked with better wellbeing, self-control and sociability, its also linked with better general health.

Emotions Tech like TrueTalk can help us manage our own wellbeing, and that of our loved ones and our communities.

We believe that healthcare can be well supported by platforms such as TrueTalk and we aim to be a large part of this revolution.

Using An Elisor

Using An Elisor

Using An Elisor

I am not an attorney, I am a Judgment and Collection Agency Broker. This article is my opinion, from my California experiences, and laws are different in every state. If you want a strategy to use or legal advice, please contact an attorney.

Elisors are court-appointed persons that replaces their signature for some other person for documents, if that person should not, cannot, or won't sign the documents.

Many times the person who is the Elisor fills in for a coroner or a sheriff (if they are unqualified or unavailable) for the specific action of document signing necessary to comply with a court order.

The laws about Elisors are often similar across the nation, but they vary in many states. In California, California code of Civil Procedure 262.8 (c) specifies that when "a coroner or a sheriff is a party, and there is a vacancy in the office of the other, or where it appears, by affidavit, to the satisfaction of the court in which the proceeding is pending, or the judge thereof, that both of these officers are disqualified, or by reason of any bias, prejudice, or other cause, would not act impartially or promptly."

California California code of Civil Procedure 262.8 (c) could be used if a coroner or a sheriff are parties to some matter, with an affidavit is submitted with the court which claims they may behave in ways not consistent with what their duties require.

An obvious example showing California code of Civil Procedure 262.8 (c) is useful, is if there is a business owned by a judgment debtor coroner or a sheriff. Another is if a coroner or a sheriff is a party in a lawsuit, another is if there can be an assumption of bias. One example of bias could be if the sheriff will not cooperate with a court order for an auction sale of, assets belonging to a the sheriff's relative.

Depending on where you live, Elisor laws could help if the sheriff where you live refuses to pick up someone after a bench warrant has been issued. Maybe you could request a court to appoint an Elisor sheriff that is willing to actually arrest a debtor (having a current bench warrant for their arrest) and take them into custody. This does not work in (e.g., California) counties if there is no room in the jails for civil contemners.

What if a debtor owns shares of stock in a closely-held company, and you can't locate the "physical certificates"? Note that you don't always require the certificates of a closely-held company. Certificates are evidence of ownership, not legal proof of ownership. Some companies never print physical stock certificates.

When you do require physical certificates (I am not an attorney), maybe one could start by getting a get a turnover order, and:

A) If the debtor's shares get turned over to the sheriff or you, mission accomplished.

B) If the shares aren't turned over because the certificates haven't yet been issued, then an order against the company to issue the share certificates may be appropriate.

C) If the company doesn't comply, then get an Elisor order:

1 - File your motion of Elisor, stating the debtor did not comply, and a clerk of the court should be permitted to sign on behalf of the debtor by order of the court. Have the judge sign the order.

2 - Askthe court clerk sign the blank stock shares you will provide.

3 - File the signed shares with your Secretary of State.

4 - Call a meeting of the corporate board, perhaps terminate the current board, and liquidate the debtor's corporate assets.

What if the debtor won't sign a property transfer receipt or agreement when you were the highest bidder at a sheriff auction? File the motion of Elisor, and request the court to appoint a clerk to sign on behalf of the debtor.

An Elisor order could be used if someone doesn't return property as required by a court order.

In a divorce, if one spouse won't sign over an ordered share of a business or a property, an Elisor order may solve this problem and make the transaction legal, because it was ordered by the court.
